Aiden Tarin

“Initially, like a lot of young swimmers, I was hesitant to start the swim team. The water was cold, the workouts were hard, and I felt like I didn’t belong. But I was struggling, and my Mom knew I needed something to push me, so despite my complaints, she still dropped me off at the pool each day.

Swimming came into my life at a very critical moment. It gave me a place to feel safe, to be seen by coaches, and to be supported by teammates. Most importantly, it gave me the opportunity to develop myself. Before swimming, I never really understood how to improve myself or set goals. I am so grateful for this sport and committed to giving back.” - Aiden Tarin

His Approach

Aiden understands what it feels like to be the hesitant kid on deck, facing cold water, enduring tough workouts, and grappling with that nagging doubt that whispers, "I don't belong here." His personal experiences have shaped his approach to coaching. He connects with young swimmers where they are, earns their trust, and creates an environment where kids feel recognized before they are ever challenged.

Having discovered the importance of goal-setting and self-improvement through swimming himself, Aiden shares those valuable lessons with every athlete he works with. He teaches these concepts not just as techniques, but as life skills that they will carry with them long after leaving the pool.
